The U.S. Department of Agriculture has issued the support purchase prices which USDA’s Commodity Credit Cor poration will pay in order to implement the $13.10 per hundredweight price support level for manufacturing grade milk for the 1983-84 marketing year, which begins Oct. 1. According to CCC Executive Vice President Everett Rank, the level of price support was announced Aug. 2 and is for manufacturing grade milk with a national average milkfat content of 3.67 percent, or $12.80 per hundredweight for milk of 3.5 percent milkfat. The purchase prices which will be in effect for the 1983-84 marketing year are the same as those in effect for the last three marketing years, Rank said. The support for milk is achieved by CCC’s purchases of butter, cheese, and nonfat dry milk. The prices CCC will pay for these products for the 1983-84 marketing year are as follows: (Dollars per pound) Butter, U.S. Grade A or higher, New York City, N.Y. and Jersey City, Newark and Secaucus, N, J.
