Eaton tops York 4-H lamb show BY JOYCE BUPP Staff Correspondent STEWARTSTOWN - A 105- pound Dorset lamb brought 4-H honors to John Eaton, Windsor, when it topped both show and sale at the annual roundup Monday, hosted by Sechnst Sales, Inc. After winning the breed honors, and then the grand champion ribbons, Eaton’s entry earned first spot in the auction lineup, bringing a sale high of 11.45 per pound from INSULATION R. Reserve champion lamb was the top-placed Suffolk, exhibited by veteran 4-H’er Tom Flory, Red Lion. High bidder for the 120-pound reserve champion was Ralph Thomas, for Thomas Meal Market at Shrewsbury, with a 90-cent per pound bid. A total of 40 head of market lambs turned out for the roundup.
