FFA’ers at Big E NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J - State level FFA winners from throughout New Jersey will travel to Springfield, Mass, to the Eastern Regional FFA Com petition to be held Sept. 16-17. They will compete with members from 15 states in this competition which will prepare members for further competition at the National Convention in Kansas City, Mo. in November. Contests take place in a variety of educational areas of Agriculture, Agribusiness and Natural Resources. First-place state teams from the North Burlington FFA Chapter of Columbus will enter contests in Dairy Cattle Judging, Small Engines Trouble Shooting, Livestock Judging, and Dairy- Cattle Showmanship. Other teams representing New Jersey at the regional competiUon include the N.J. State Nurse ry/Landscape Team from the North Hunterdon FFA Chapter of Annan dale, the N.J. State Floriculture team from the Oakcrest FFA Chapter of Mays Landing and the N.J State Agriculture Mechanics Team from the Newton FFA Chapter of Newton. Joe Trestmsky from Hunterdon Central FFA Chapter in Flemmton will be competing in the Safe Tractor Drvmg Contest and Tracy Sloan of the Cumberland Regional FFA Chapter, Seabrook, who was named Star Garden State Fanner will be recognmzed in the Star State Farmer Pageant.
