They were all smiles following the 1983 Pa. Holstein
Championship Show in Huntingdon Thursday. Many
dairymen had reason to celebrate following the judging of
Orton Eby (center). Obie Snider, left, of Singing Brook Farms
was named premier breeder and the premier exhibitor
banner was presented to Ed Doeberiener, right, of Queens

on Singing Brook Farms during the state championship show.

Ed Doeberiener, Robert Morrell and Tom Lyon own the
reserve grand champion of the Pa. Holstein Championship
Show. Following a hectic day of exhibiting cattle from Nor
theastern Pa. Robert Morrell is happy to pose with the 5-year
old reserve grand champion.
Experience, knowledge and an excellent cow led Singing
Brook Farms into the winner's circle many times. Judge
Orton Eby (right) chose the five-year-old Singing Brook Astro
Patty as the grand champion of the state Holstein show.
Joining the winner are (left to right) Jim Carman, Bruce
Snider and Obie Snider.
Bedford County showman Obie
Snider and his family outdid all
other exhibitors from across the
state by winning the dam and
daughter and the best three
females classes. However the
hgihlight of the seven hour show
was the selection of Singing Brook
Astro Patty as the grand champion
female. That honor was possibly
topped by the presentation of the
premier breeder banner to Singing
Brook.
The five-year-old champion
daughter of Paclamar Astronaut is
out of Singing Brook ML Pater.
Patty was earlier named first in
her class and also senior champion
female.

Heritage Farm, St. George, On
tario. He chose the second place
five year old entry owned by Ed
Doebenener, Robert Morrell and
Tom Lyon as the reserve grand
champion female. Queens Manor -
