Brown’s Sales Represen
tative Clarence Geib, Allen
Lee, and Brown’s
Nutritionist Dr. Walter
Kennett review the
production records of Kathy
a Job Daughter and Fanny.
At 3-2, Kathy made 30,187
of milk and 1071 fat in 365
days. Fanny finished her
seven year old record at
33,591 of 4.1% milk, but
unfortunatley has since died.
Excellent forage quality is a key to high
production. Allen Lee sends forage samples to
Brown’s regularly. Because he feeds a lot of
haylage, extra bypass protein is added to his
38 Milkmaster along with additional minerals
to meet the nutrient requirements of his high
producing herd. One of his biggest problems is
drying off cows milking 60-70 lbs.

Allen Lee and his sons Nathan and Edwin have an
outstanding herd of Registered Holsteins. Here he is
pointing out Jennifer (Black cow) an 86 point Lucky
Royal 2 year old with a lot of potential. Behind
Jennifer stands Dutchess (white blaze on face) a 91
PT Elevation with a 5 year old record of 21,529 of
4.3 milk in 322 days.

Allen Lee consults regularly
with Dr. Kennett regarding
his feeding program, and
follows it faithfully. Clarence
Geib pulls forage samples
which go to Penn State and
submits a programming
request form which Dr.
Kennett uses to formulate
programs.
