    Baylor announces hay and silage contest winners
ROCK SPRINGS, PA - The best
hay and silage samples in Penn
sylvania were judged at Penn
State's Ag Progress Days today.
Dr. John Baylor, chairman of the
hay show committee, announced
the winners of the IS6S Penn
sylvania Hay Show.
In the alfalfa-first cutting
category (alfalfa with less than 10
percent of grasses), first place
went to Paul Bollinger Myerstown
in Lebanon County. The Milton
Hershey School Farms in Hershey
were awarded second place, and
third place went to Gerald E.
McMath of Shade Gap in Hun
tingdon County.
In the alfalfa-later cuttings
category, another - first-place
award went to Paul Bollinger. I.F.
Altemose and Sons in Effort,
Monroe' County received second
place, and Milton Hershey School
Farms placed third.
In the alfalfa-grassed mixed-
First cutting category, Paul
Wisser of Coopersburg, Lehigh
County, received first place.
Second place went to Robert
Wriglesworth of Grampian,
Clearfield County and Leroy
Pinker of Penargyl, Northampton
County took third prize.
John Jurists of Tunkbannock in
Wyoming County received first
place in the alfalfa-grass mixed-
Later Cuttings category. Second
place winner was Nevin 6. Rice of
Blain, Perry County, and third
place went to Ted Kuckuck of
Salts burg, Indiana County.
Another award was won by Paul
Bollinger in the Clover category.
Carl J. Pearce of Kylertown,
Clearfield County received the
second place, and Nevin Rice
finished third.
Ihe Clover Timothy mixed
category was won by Marshall V.
Wolfe of St. Mary’s in Elk County.
Eugene Stauffer of York received
second and David R. Harrop St. of
Milroy in Mifflin County placed
third.
Paul Bollinger received the first

In the grass-first cutting
category, David J. Peachey of
Bellville in Mifflin County received
first place. Second went to Leroy
F. Rowles of Olanta, Clearfield
County and third place winner was
Herman Espy of Spruce Creek in
Huntingdon County.
Leroy F. Rowles also received
first place in the Grass-Second
Cutting Category. Nevin Rice took
second place, and third place went
to Marshall Wolfe.
