steers and heifers closed unevenly
steady with last week. Buyer
demand generally good until late
Tuesday when lower dressed beef
prices prompted many buyers to
bear down Wednesday even though
midweek receipts were small. Best
demand still centers on steers over
1100 lbs. and heifers over 950 lbs.
with expected higher percentages
choice carcasses. Slaughter cows
under the influence of lower
dressed prices turned 1.00-2.00
lower. Slaughter bulls 1.00-2.00
lower.
