9 a.m. Forage and Dairy Day opens - Inspect variety, maturity and insect control plots.
10 a.m. Barn demonstrations - Embryo collection and transfer demonstrations, and
discussion of embryo splitting, sexing and freezing.
Alfalfa grass plot cuttings with Pioneer harvester, immediately followed by testing in
Penn State’s NIR van.
11 a.m. Pioneer harvester will cut through fertility and maturity plots.
NOON: Cut remaining alfalfa grass strips with haybme.
1 p.m. Hay auction based on forage analys
2 p.m. Repeat of barn demonstrations
3 p.m. Feed rations completed,
