Recently I attended my 45th high
school reunion. I know that gives
away my age and I do find it dif
ficult to realize that so many years
have slipped by since our gradual
tion.
We had a large gathering of our
class of some 70 members as over
half of them attended the buffet
supper at the Brunswick in Lan
caster with their spouses. It is said
that "We get together to see who
has fallen apart.” And in a sense,
that is true. Some of the most at
trative members of long ago now
show the greatest signs of wear.
The former heavy ones are thin
and the thin ones are now heavy.
Some of the quiet, shy ones are no
longer quiet and are capable of
making fine speeches as they
reminisce about our shared ex
periences - the cars that we drove,
the teachers that taught us and the

District will be leasing a 10-fool
wide Tye no-till Drill for no-tilling
soybeans and re-seeding pastures
and haylands. The drill will be
available to Montgomery County

Service (SCS) will be coordinating
the scheduling of the no-till drill for
the Conservation District. The

be present and share fellowship

Florida and Louisiana, plus nearby
states of New Jersey and
Maryland. Although most of us hve
here in Lancaster County, we find
that our paths seldom cross in our
daily lives.
Talking about anniversaries, 1
was quite impressed when my
husband’s aunt told me that this
year is her 82nd year since
graduating from Maytown High
School in 1901. She walked from
her farm near Donegal to the
school and was one of only a few
girls in her class. She will be 99
years old this fall and remembers
events very clearly. Compared to
her, 1 should feel like a youngster
as I still have 37 years until my
82nd reunion.
