PALMYRA - Wendy
Fahnestock, Lynwood Drive, has
been selected to represent the
United States as an International 4-
H Youth Exchange (IF YE)
representative to the Netherlands
for 6 months.
Her trip began on June 12 with
orientation at the National 4-H
Center in Washington, D.C.
In Holland, Wendy will live and
work with 7-10 host families,
learning about Dutch culture. At
the same time, she will share
American and local traditions and
culture.
Wendy is looking forward to
meeting the people, experiencing
the culture, and learning the
language. She says, “Do you know
how hard it is to find Dutch-
English dictionaries here in
Central Pennsylvania?!” She has

Wendy is a daughter of Pat and
David Fahnestock. She is a 1982
graduate of Kutztown State
College with graphic design as a
major.
Wendy is the thrid Lebanon
County IF YE in as many years. In
1981, Megan Conner visited
Trinidad and Tobago, Deb Kreider
lived in Italy in 1982.
Like her predecessors, Wendy, a
former 4-H member, also plans to
do presentations about her over
seas experiences upon her return.
