Philadelphia Eggs Thursday, June SC Report supplied by USDA MARKET COMMENT; Prices are lower Cartoned egg orders are irregular with most dealers noting an improvement, but only to fair levels. Much of the improvement is attributed to a loss of a delivery day Monday, rather than a pick up in demand. Jumbo short. Extra large are slightly more available with dealers’ floor stocks in a range of barely adequate to adequate. Graded loose large and mediums are ample and discounting is very common and needed in order to consumate a sale. Class l’s are available and the heavier weights can usually be moved, but lighter weights are more difficult to clear. Class ITs are ample to burdensome; Class Ill’s are ample with some of these classes moving to breakers. Un dertone range is from weak to steady.
