When I lifted my eyes to nearby trees, I saw some unusual things. The white grape has climbed to the topmost branches of the apricot tree and now I know that I can’t gather them this fall. We also have a nest of blue jays in a crotch of the white mulberry tree outside the kitchen window. And, instead of the usual noisy “thief, thief” cry, they went about the work of feeding their young very quietly. Now I must run and pick berries. CHAMPIONSHIP PROFESSION mm FRI„ JUNE 24 - 7 P.M.
