Holstein Show

groomed and well trained to lead.
Show Judge Marion Andrew of
Centerville, Maryland, said he was
very impressed with the quality of
animals being shown.
Andrew moved through the
classes at a good and confident
pace, making decisive placings
with ease.
“He did a good job of judging,”
said dairyman Phillip Pierson.
“His reasons were easy to un
derstand even for the youngsters
showing.”
Norman Voss, Jr., ‘Buddy’, of
Clayton, took the top honors of the
show, winning the Premier
Breeder and Premier Exhibitor
awards. Voss farms in partnership
with his father, Norman, Sr.

purebred Holsteins as a 4-H
member and has been the driving
force behind converting the
family’s herd of Holsteins to a
purebred herd. Thursday’s honors
are a tribute to his efforts.
