Contestants are; Shanlynn Beiler, West Pequea Lane, Gor donville; Bom Gochenaur, Penn Grant Road, Lancaster; Patti Sue Hershey, R. 6, Manheim; Susan Hess, R. 2, Quarryville; and Colleen H. Spahr, R. 2, Holtwood. Shanlynn Beiler, 17, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Beiler, who have a dairy operation with 54 Holsteins. She has been a Bible quizzer for three years and served as camp counselor and a Bible School teacher. She is an active member of the Ridgeview Mennomte Church. Shanlynn plans to work in the secretarial field upon graduation. Bom Gochenaur is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gochenaur, who milk 50 Registered Holsteins. Patti Sue Hershey plans to study nursing at Lan caster General Hospital School of Nursing. In addition to playing flute in the school orchestra, Boni also sings in the school’s touring chorus. She is treasurer of her church's youth group and serves on its social committee. Patti Sue Hershey, 17, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hershey, who milk 110 Holstein cows. A senior at Manheim Central High School, Patti attends Mount Joy Vo-Tech, studying food preparation and service. She works as a waitress, served as a 4- H teen leader and is a former cheerleader. Susan owns five dairy annunals of her own as a member of the Lancaster County 4-H Holstein Club. She participated in the 1981 exchange trip to Massachusetts, and par ticipated m 4-H State Capital Days this year. A senior at Soianco High School, Susan was a member of the Future Business Leaders of America and hopes to go to business school. She also attended the 1982 youth conference of PFA. Colleen H. She is a member of the Junior Ayrshire Breeders Association, and is active in the Future Farmers of America at Penn Manor High School where she will be a senior. She also participates m cross country there and is a member of her church youth group. She hopes to study dairy production in college.
