Youth from all over the state irreguar dless of breed orientation are in vited to participate in this exciting, educational program. The first of the three schools (Eastern) will be held July 5-6 hosted by the Columbia-Luzerne County Holstein Club. Headquarters for the school will be the Best Western in Danville. The Central School will be held in Bedford County on July 7-8. Participants will be housed at the Holiday Inn in Bedford. The Official Judge for the first and second school will be Michael Weimer, Director of Sales with the Pennsylvania Holstein Association. Generally three farms of various dairy breeds are visited the first day. Two classes at each stop round out the day. After the judging is completed for the day, participants will check into the motel and have dinner with the rest of the group before they begin their evening program. Then it is time for the pool or the game room and sleep. The next morning starts bright and early with judging being conducted until noon that day. Lunch the first day and second day as well as breakfast the second day are on your own. 4-H and FFA teams as well as individual interested in dairy cattle judging are encouraged to attend this worthwhile program sponsored directly with youth in mind.
