Dairy Youth Day, sponsored by the
Northampton County 4-H Dairy
Club, was held recently at Up
stream Farm. Open to anyone
eight to eighteen, a total of 21
youngsters participated in the day
long event.

Starting with a 9 AM
registration, the young people
were busy until noon clipping and
scrubbing registered Holstein
calves from the Upstream herd.
Following a picnic lunch, they
spent two hours training their
calves to lead. The climax of the
day was a fitting and showing
contest judged by Kathy Thomp
son Walton, of Tower-Vue
, Holsteins, Newtown.
Team competition linked a
Senior club member with a Junior
club member. In some cases, the
juniors were non-club, non-farm
children. The results were as
