MARKET COMMENT: Ready to
cook movement on whole birds is
fair to occasionally good and has
slowed down when compared to
earlier in the week. Parts
movement overall is also slowing
down with legs in longest position.
Some discounting is still noted at 43
to 44 cent range as some
processors attempt to stay clean.
Slaughter overall is moderately
heavy. Large supplies are fully
adequate. Weights are irregular.
Undertone is no more than steady.
Today’s L.T.L. asking prices are
generally 1 cent higher on U.S.
Grade A at 47 to 50 cents.

MARKET COMMENT; Prices
are generally higher compared to
a week ago. Carton egg movement
is light to fair and a little sluggish
in most quarters. Retail features
draw fairly well but the number of
outlets featuring has decreased
and has not significantly increased
total orders. Jumbos remain short
of needs. Extra large and large are
fully adequate to ample with
surplus stocks showing up in
several quarters. Mediums are
ample and difficult to move.
Gradable mass runs are starting to
show up with class three’s in
longest position. Undertone fairly
steady to weak.

are sharply higher for this weeks
arrivals at 12 and one half cents
with 13 cents starting to be payed
for next weeks deliveries. Of
ferings of live are light and short of
plant requirements. Processors
indicate higher prices are more
reflective of trying to make line
time than any great improvement
in finish product sales.
