steers closed 2.50 to 3.00 higher
heifers 1.50- to 2.50 higher. Cows
steady to 3.00 lower, mostly 3.00
lower at midweek. Bulls weak to
2.00 lower this weeks trade active
with steers drawing most action.
Sharply high wholesale Beef prices
and an increase CME interest all
influenced live prices. Majority of
supply Good to Choice steers and
heifers with increase showing of
mud. Receipts this week about 1600
competed to 1002 last week and
1895 a year ago.
