    Pennfield honors top dairy operations
SMOKE TOWN The induction
of 15 top dairymen into the
president’s Club highlighted the
12th annual Pennfield Dairy
Awards program held Wednesday
at the Good ’N Plenty Restaurant.
“The President's Club is a new
award classification this year,”
explains Don Mahlandt, Manager,
Dairy Feeds, Pennfield, “and
recognizes those dairy operations
which have shown outstanding
achievements during the past
year."'
Qualifications for the
President’s Club include a herd
average of 20,000 lbs. of milk or 700
lbs of butterfat.
In all, 15 dairy operations were
honored with the President’s Club
Award. Presentations were made
by E. O. Horn Jr., Pennfield
President.
The President’s Club Award
recipients include:
-Ray-MC Farm, Ray McMillen,
Loysville, 22,275 lbs. of milk and
818 lbs. of fat.
--Stolcliff Farms, John S.
Stoltzfus, Atglen, 20,160 lbs. of milk
and 794 fat. ,

20,897 lbs. milk and 774 fat.

21,130 lbs. of milk and 766 fat.

production shown among the
winners were 2,290 lbs. milk and 61
fat for McMillen; 3,688 lbs. milk
and 96 lbs. fat for Graybill; 2,762
lbs. milk and 78 lbs. fat for Her
shey; and 2,266 lbs. milk and 94 lbs.

Other awards included:
Operators of 52 Holstein herds
received awards for attaining
17,000 lbs. of milk or 625 lbs. of fat.
Operators of 15 Colored Breed
herds were similarly honored.
Qualifications included 13,500 lbs.
milk for Brown Swiss, 11,500 lbs.
milk for Guernsey, 11,000 lbs. milk
for Jersey or 600 lbs. fat for each.
Operators of herds with in
creases of at least 1,000 lbs. of milk
or 50 lbs. of fat were honored.
There were 10.
