Slaughter Steers and Heifers
were uneven, generally .50 to 1.00
higher for the week on small
receipts. Cows fully 1.00 to mostly
2.00 higher. Bulls 1.00, instances
2.00 higher. Trading fairly active
both Monday and Wednesday.
Demand was only moderate as a
result of forced trading on small
receipts and buyers attempting to
keep dressed costs from advancing
faster than the Carlot Beef trade.
Receipts about 1,200 this week as
compared to 1,582 a week ago and
1,948 a year ago.
