Hoyt and Sons, Burns, Or., was recently elected to the presidency of the American Shorthorn Association at the National Show and Annual Meeting held recently in Denver, Co., at the National Western. Hoyt, in partnership with his brothers Jay, Steve, and Jeff, maintains a 2,500 head cow herd, and, along with his wife, Judy, assumes responsibility A>r the purebred hnorthom cattle in the ranch operation. The Hoyts are strong believers in per formance testing and specialize in range bull production. Cattle from the Walter J. Hoyt and Sons Ranches perform not only on the ranch, but also with great success in the show ring as well.
