Cows fully 1.00 higher. Bulls
steady.
The overall market tone proved
to be the best in some time, with all
interests competing aggressively
for available supplies. The ex
cellent demand coupled with an
upgoing beef trade to move prices
to their highest levels in three
months. Mud, Y.G. 4’s and “Short
Feds” all creating problems in the
trade; but these kinds, though
discounted still shared in the
market advance.
Steers made up 48 pet of the
week’s receipts; Heifers 41 pet;
Cows 6 pet; Feeders 4 pet.
