Shorthorn bull and heifer in the open Shorthorn classes. “Woodside Major Duke 2nd," a

Major Duke 2nd, a junior calf, was
named the grand champion
Shorthorn bull in the open breeding
class, here, Wednesday afternoon.
The bull, owned by Woodside
Farms of R 2 Waynesburg in
Greene County, was also named
the show’s bull calf champion.
Duke was sired by JAF Major
Duke 78 out of Woodside Cynthia
Rose.
Woodside Farms also exhibited
the grand champion female,
Woodside Margo Rose 2nd, a
spring-after-March calf that
previously had won the calf
championship, and the reserve
champion female, Woodside
Cynthia Rose Bth, a late spring
yearling.
Rose 2nd is sired by JAP Major
Duke 78 out of Margo Rose.
Another Woodside Farm entry,
Woodside Wachess Queen, a Sept.-
Oct. heifer, was the show’s reserve
calf champion.
The reserve grand champion
bull, Mapleview Nine Star, a senior
calf, was exhibited by Joan
Peoples of R 2 Volant in Lawrence
County.
