day (hi the road when members of
the Garden State Dairy Goat
Association gather on Saturday,
Jan. 29 for the GSDGA Dairy Gloat
Binge.
Held in conjunction with the 1983
New Jersey Farmer’s Week, goat
enthusiasts begin the day at 9:30
a.m. for a Pre-Training Con
ference at the Somerset County 4-H
Center on Milltown Road (Route 22
eastbqund), Bridgewater, JN.I.
ADGA judge Martbp Griner and
coordinator John Chester will lead
discussions on conformation and
showing.
At noon, the group moves to the
Ryland Inn, off Route 22 in
Whitehouse, N. J. for cocktails and
a luncheon. Dr. Mary Smith,
Cornell University veterinarian
will discuss total herd health. The
luncheon also will feature door
prizes and a lottery run.
A tour of Goat Works is slated for
4 p.m. The Lebanon, N.J. farm will
