sylvania foods,” said Hallowell of
Konhaus Farms.
Hallowell added, “The
marketing and promotional
initiatives of dedicated Penn
sylvania firms like Turner Dairy
and Konhaus Farms have helped
the logo campaign and Penn
sylvania agriculture grow into a
real success story.”
The award was based on five
criteria, the first of which is
quality. The firm must produce a
high quality product adhering to
both state and federal regulation
and inspection, and participate in
either the “Pennsylvania

EZEE-DRY
The EZEE-DRY uses a unique, patented overhead
drying chamber to dry up to 2,000 bph (5 pts removal) or
up to 1,000 bph (10 pts removal) The evenly distributed,
low temperature heat flow of the EZEE-DRY reduces
energy use and heat stress This lowers operating costs
and reduces gram damage from cracking
Energy Efficient Design
The continuous-flow EZEE-DRY has proven over many
years to be both efficient and practical This unique
overhead design
1) recycles heat from the cooling gram to further reduce
energy use
2) uses a thin drying layer for quick, even drying
3) requires low maintenance due to few moving parts
4) requires little supervision because of a Central Control
Panel and five safety cut-off features
Lower Cost
The EZEE-DRY requires a lower initial investment, and
lower operating costs than most commercial dryers And
when you add the 20.000 bushels of extra storage space,
the EZEE-DRY is the economical, affordable way to dry
grain while preserving grain quality

In order for a firm to use the
logos, a percentage of raw Penn
sylvania products must be used in
the final product. Judges take into
consideration any additional
utilization of Pennsylvania raw
products. Consideration are also
made as to the amount of time the
firm has been using the logo, the
firm’s overall efforts to promote
Pennsylvania products, their
market area, and the number of
consumers reached.
The winners were selected by a
panel of three Judges: Charles
Wismer, Master of the Penn
sylvania State Grange; Wesley
Haer of the Pennsylvania Farmers
Association; and James Sumner,
of the Agriculture Department’s
Bureau of Markets.
