Delmarva Poultry
Report supplied by USDA
MARKET COMMENT: Ready to
cook movement on whole birds is
fair-but disappointing especially in
view of early expectations. Legs &
wings have slowed down and are
not clearing as before, breast &
cutlets are In satisfactory balance.
Advance interest is important but
spotty.
Today’s L.T.L. asking prices
unchange on U.S. Grade A at 41-45
cents. But those plants which have
excess products must discount it to
move it Slaughter schedules are
moderately heavy at generally
heavier than desired weights. Live
supplies are fully adequate to
ample. Undertone steady.
Estimated slaughter of broiler
fryers in Delmarva (600).
Estimated 1783; Average
Weights 4.36.

Two Ways To Improve
\Dur Profit Picture
XL&DK
Two layers with distinctly different characteristics... From two
separate research programs.
You don't have to buy from two different companies to get the two top
layers on the market.
The XL shows excellent production under many management
conditions. The DK responds best to finely tuned, close management.
DEKALB Layers are bred to possess the economic traits most
applicable to your operation. You do have a choice... The high
productivity XL or the high efficiency DK.
