livestock Show in Den
ver, Co., will be the site of the 1983
National Shorthorn Show and
annual meeting of the American
Shorthorn Association, according
to Jim Shirley, executive
secretary-treasurer of the A.S. A.
Billed as the ’B3 National, Shirley
said, this annual show will prove to
be the toughest one of the season
with Shorthorn cattle from across
the nation competing for the Grand
Championship honors.
Alan K. Sears, activities director
for the A.S.A., said Shorthorn
activities will begin on Thursday
morning, Jan. 13, when Dave
Hawkins, Michigan State
University, East Lansing, Mi., will
