Market Exchange Coordinator
Helen Patton of Bainbridge
reported 40 cattlemen have listed a
total of 426 available cattle with the
Exchange. She said two-thirds of
the counties in the state are
represented as are almost all beef
breeds. Listings mclude purebred
and commercial breeding cattle,
feeders, finished cattle, and
animals suitable for 4-H projects.
Peter Nixon of Westfield who
chaired the Market Exchange
evaluation said, “The program is
working.
Persons wishing to buy cattle
may contact the Market Exchange
at 607/967-7261 Monday and
Wednesday roomings from 9 a.m.
to noon and Tuesday and Thursday
evenings from 6 to 9 p.m. Persons
wishing to list cattle for sale with
the Market Exchange may contact
