Marvex daughter took Senior and
Grand Champion open class
Holstein honors at the York Fair
for Bupplynn Farms, Seven
Valleys.
Bupplynn Marvex Patty, scored
VG-86, also topped the Best Senior
Bred and Owned class of the 150-
head show, placed by judge John
Morris, Maryland.
Reserve Senior and Grand, and
second-placed Bred and Owned
was Sunnybend Eloise Kit Triune,
exhibited by Sunnybend Farm of
York. The Tom Boyer family of
Sunnybend also took another top
spot, winning the Junior Champion
Junior champion of the York Fair open class Holstein show
was Bridgette Boyer’s intermediate calf by Sexation. Kevin
Laughman of Philka Holsteins holds their reserve champion
junior yearling.
Colored breed entries recapture
Collecting more champion banners again this year was
Mildred Seeds and “Tempty,” who got the judge’s nod as tops
in the York Fair’s open Jersey competition.

Senior and Grand Champion was

topping the Reserve winner,
Rutter Bros. Fayvors Buffy, a
three year old. A senior yearling
by Rutter Bros. Laddies Superior
earned Junior Champion ribbons,
over Reserve Darryl Hohrbauch
with his second-place senior
yearling by Rockmore Hornet
Byron.
Heading the list of York Fair Ayrshire Granddaughter and third-generation family
winners was the aged cow entry of Sam Diehl, exhibitor Betty Diehl is at the halter.

placings, topping off with cham
pion Top-O-Hill Milestone Tempty.
The winning three-year-old went
Excellent her first scoring at two
years and has at least 15 champion
rosettes m her distinguished young
career. Top-O-Hill also won the
Reserve Grand, Junior and
Reserve J umor awards.
