Crossley wins in 4-H electric project
COUDERSPORT Luke
Crossley has been named as a 1982
Keystone Winner in electric in the
State 4-H program.
Luke, son of Sam and Jane
Crossley of Coudersport, had to
complete a blue form and story
about his project area and his
other activities while he has been a
member of 4-H. He was then called
to State College for an interview
after which he was named as a
state winner in electric.
Luke, U, attends Coudersport
High School, belonged this year to
the Sparks 4-H electric club and
the North Side Of the Mountain
Shepherds dub.
In addition to his electric
project, he has also taken model
airplanes, sheep,' handyman,
market lamb, outdoor cooking,
Chef’s League, small engines,
vegetable garden, backyard
poultry and leadership projects.
In his clubs he has served as

projects he has worked with the
younger people in the clubs on
their projects. This year he at
tended state leadership congress.
Some of his local and district
activities in 4-H have been project
tours, hoagie. sales, flower bulb
sales, Maple Festival sale, district
camp, achievement nights, King
contests, roundup, hikes and
picnics and kick off parties.
He was top salesman in flower
bulb sales in 1978 and was a junior
division winner in' the county
judging contest. He received
achievement awards in 1979, 1980,
1981 and 1982.
Luke says of his 4-H in
volvement, “4-H has contributed to
my life by giving me experience in
many different areas and has
helped me meet new people and go
new places.”
