BEAVEK SPRINGS - Cham pions were crowned at the 27th annual Central District FFA Dairy Show held on Aug. 13 at the Beaver Community Fairgrounds, Beaver Springs. In the Holstein competition, Douglas Wasson, of HI Centre Hall and a member of the Penns Valley Chapter, showed his three-year old, Milu Dulsa Mae, to the senior championship and the grand championship. Reserve champion honors went to Kenneth Dean Beiler, of R 1 Mifflinburg and a member of the Mifflinburg Chapter. In addition to owner breeder honors, he also captured the junior championship and the reserve senior cham pionship. The reserve junior rosette went to Brian Shively, R 1 Millmont, member of the Mifflinburg Chapter. Other top winners selected by type judge Ginger Myers, ot Lit tlestown, included: In the Ayrshire contest, Annette L. Wert, of KI Milroy and member of the Big Valley Chapter, had the junior and grand champion. Owner breeder honors went to Michael A. Walters, of the Middleburg Chapter. Among the 'Brown Swiss exhibitors, David E. Feidt, of Millersburg and member of the Upper Dauphin Chapter, dominated the senior and show awards. The junior championship was awarded to Jody Fry, KI Beaver Springs, West Snyder Chapter. In the Guernseys, all of the honors were swept by Jeffrey A. Martz, of KI Dalmatia and the Mahantango Chapter. Edward D. Houtz, of K 4 Bellefonte and the Bellefonte Chapter, showed his Jersey senior champion to the grand cham pionship. Junior and owner breeder honors, as well as the reserve grand championship, went to Kathy Mae Keich, of KI Winfield and the Selmsgrove Chapter. In the county groups, Nor thumberland was tops in the Guernseys, as was Centre in the Jerseys.
