Association is holding its Seventh
Annual Field Day, steer show, and
Northeast Region Chianma Junior
Heifer Show on Saturday, Aug. 14
here at the Lebanon Fairgrounds.
Junior Chianma members, along
with 4-H’ers and FFA’ers will roll
in Friday evening to rest up for a
day filled with exciting events,
slated to hegm at 9 a.m. Along with
the livestock judging contest,

FFA, 4-H and Junior ACA
members who wish to compete
must own a percentage, quar
terblood or fuilblood Chianma
(heifers calved between Sept. 1,
1980 and Dec. 31, 1981; steers
calved in 1981). Heifers must have
an ACA registration certificate in
the name of the junior ACA

According to James Class ot the
Northeast American Chianma
Association, there are no entry
tees tor the show. But, anyone
exhibiting a heiter must be a junior
member of ACA. Heifer entries are
81-DIRECTIONAL ..
unlimited, but only two steers per
exhibitor are allowed.
Frizes will once again be
generous, with the supreme
champion heifer receiving a
trophy and a $5OO prize and the
grand champion steer earning $3OO
