towards royal titles and roles are
invited to compete for the title of
New York Beef Queen.
The New York Beef Cattlemen’s
Association and the New York
Cowßelles are sponsoring the
contest in order to promote the
beef industry in the state, to
recognize the achievements of
young women, and to “glamorize
and otherwise add dignity to Beef
Cattlemen’s and Cowßelles’ ac-.
tivities.
Those interested in becoming the
New York Beef Queen must be
single, between the ages of 18 and
21, must be a member of or
daughter or granddaughter of a
member of the New York Beef
Cattlemen’s -Association or the

The New York Beef Queen will
be asked to perform her royal
duties at the 1983 Empire Farm
Days show, at the 1983 New York
State Fair both during the cattle
shows and at the Empire Court
auction of the quality meat show
carcass champions. She will also
be assigned other appearances
during the year.
The Queen will be selected on the
basis of achievements with beef
cattle, apearance, poise and
personality.
Entry blanks and further in
formation may be obtained from
Queen Contest coordinator Jean
Frost, 3709 Briggs Rd. RD3,
Holcomb, N.Y. 14469. All entries
must be returned by Oct. 1 and the
Beef Queen will be named at the
January annual meetings of the
sponsoring organizations.
