MARKET COMMENT: Pricing
remains at unchanged level. Of
ferings are fully adequate as plant
needs remain light due to sluggish
finish product sales. Over
slaughter capacity has now
diminished as one plant was
recently the victim of fire and
another has closed their doors until
further notice.
Light Type Hens: 3-5, mostly 4-5.
F. 0.8. Plant: 7.
Heavy Type Hens: too few.

Question:
Which of the following six lines is
most important to today's surviving
pouKryman?
A.
0-
If you answered F. (the “Bottom Line”) you
are correct. The other lines (identified below)
all play a part, of course, in making up the
bottom line. But don’t catch yourself bragging
to your neighbors about peak production or egg
size or feed consumption if your bird isn’t the
best "bottom line” performer. The DEKALB
DK layer, we believe rates with the best on
“bottom line” potential. We’d be glad to share
with you some of the facts that make true this
statement.
(Identification of other lines above: A. Hen-day production. B. Hen-housed
production, C. Livability, D. Feed consumption, E. % Large eggs)
