Deborah Ehlman has been chosen as an IFYE ambassador delegate to spend the majority of her summer in Italy, while Debra Kreider plans on living in the European country for six months. Ehlman, the daugher of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ehlman of Cooper sburg, was selected on the basis of her outstanding leadership and active participation in the 4-H program for several years. She recently graduated from her local 4-H Whichway Club. Ehlman has been involved in the Bucks County Council, club officer, recipient of the Bucks County Clover Award for leadership, club teen leader and camp counselor. About her upcoming summer in which she will live with two host families and tour the country, Ehlman said, “4-H is a sharing experience. Kreider, a 4-H volunteer and former 4-H membci, was selected on the basis of her international interests and involvement in 4-H. “Deb’s enthusiasm for in ternational programs is con tagious. And she’ll tell that story to civic groups and 4-H clubs when she returns in December,” Hohrbach added Deb’s exchange will begin with orientation, June 12 through 15, at the National 4-H Center. Upon her return in December, Deb will provide programs for civic and 4-H groups throughout the county. Though her interest in photography is just a hobby now, Kreider hopes to turn it into a career someday and has taken the first step by attending classes in photography at Lebanon Valley College. She currently works at Umberger’s Mill in R 4 Lebanon. Speaker for the evening was Tun Fleener who discussed different breeds of sheep. Clyde Brubaker will be presenting information on feeding at the next meeting. May 24.
