HARRISBURG - All producers
of wheat, barley, oats, corn and
sorghum should make accurate
reports of IM2 acreage to ASCS,
advised Eugene Thompson,
Pennsylvania state executive
director of the Agricultural
Stabilization and Conservation
Service.
Acreage reports are especially
necessary for producers who
enrolled in the 1962 Crop Acreage
Reduction Program. “Program
benefits are dependable on com
pliance with the program,”
Thomason said.

Acreage reports for wheat,
barley and oats should be made to
the county ASC offices by June IS.
Acreage reports for corn,
sorghum, and conservation
acreage (acres reduced due to
program participation) may be
submitted to ASCS until Aug. 2,
1962.
Producers of these commodities
who are not program participants
should also submit acreage
reports, according to Thompson.

Accuracy of crop reports is
important, Thompson cautioned.
