Grassland Environmental FFA holds banquet
BLUE BALL The Grassland
Environmental FFA honored the
achievements of its outstanding
members Thursday, April 1, at the
chapter’s annual parent-member
banquet in the Blue Ball Fire Hall.
The banquet was attended by
some 220 members, parents and
friends of the Garden Spot High
School chapter.
Among the award winners were
the four “star” honorees, who
were selected as the top par
ticipants in the chapter program
during the past year.
The Star Greenhand Awards
went to Julie Hess, agribusiness;
and Kevin Martin, agricultural
production.
Their counterparts at the Star
Chapter Degree Award level were
Mike Weaver, agricultural
resources; and Lamar King,
agribusiness.
In addition to the presentation of
awards to recognize achievement
in specific areas. The Greenhand,
Chapter and Keystone Degrees
were conferred on qualifying
members of the chapter.
Attending from the Penn
sylvania FFA Association was
Doug Hershberger, of the Solanco
Chapter, state president.

honored as the first-place winner
m the Lancaster County Wildlife
Contest.
