desired). Lynn prefers Theunolam
or Pelion Fleece because it keeps
its shape bettei and is easier to
work with.
Use strips ot labile cut in

selecting fabrics aiouiui a basic
coloi anti use othei shades ot that
coloi oi those that conliast with it.
Be suit* to pick tabnes with pat
terns that vaiy such as some with
small prmts, some solids, some
with an overall print, some multi
colored and some with just two
colors. Lynn particularly enjoys

fabrics toi quilts and ci alts.
Cut a three inch square ot fabric
you want to use in the center of the
pillow and place it so it is a
diamond shape against the square
(figure Ij. Take one ot the strips
that you will use tor the first row
and place it tace down on top ot one
side of the square and stitch a
inch seam along the even edge.
Flip strip ovei and finger press
in place. Trim away excess ot strip
so that it is even with the edge of
the center square.
Using tbe same strip ot fabric,
place it right side to right side,
along the next edge of the center
square and the strip you have ]ust
sewn. Stitch in a '/< seam. Usmg
the same .strip and the same
process, continue sewing around
