A week earlier, Deborah was honored at the State Association Annual Meeting in West Middlesex, Pa. by being named the Outstanding Girl by the State Junior Association. Her entry in the State Junior Production Contest, Rosewood Champion Princess, won the aged cow division with 13,635 pounds of milk and 630 pounds of fat in 305 days. While there were no senior production awards presented, Miss Benedict noted that the achievements of the York-Adams Guernsey breeders during 1981 were not to be overlooked. Honored at the State Association Annual Meeting, York-Adams breeders captured three of the four State Production Awards. For the second consecutive year Pmey Lane Guernseys, Mervm and David Myers, Littlestown, had the high herd m the state for fat with 13,947 pounds of milk and 694 pounds of fat on 56.6 cows. High cow for fat in 1981 went to Sniders Prince Lily, owned by John and Ginger Myers and Dr. Marvin Q. Sanner, Littlestown, with 23,521 pounds of milk and 1210 pounds of fat in 305 days at 5-04.
