Highlighting the evening
presentations was the new“ hired
man” of the Guernsey breed,
Executive Secretary Bernard
Heisner. In a presentation which
commanded a standing ovation,
Heisner urged Guernsey breeders
to support end-product pricing and
the efficiency of the Guernsey cow.
In an effective illustration, Heisner
sold |1 bills to the crowd for 75
cents and then drew an analogy to
this comparing present price
commanded at auction for
Guernseys.
