that had to be accomplished.
The first weekend was a busy
one. We traveled to Penn State for
the commencement program
where we saw our son get his Ph.D.
It is a long and sometimes hard
road to a doctorate in agronomy.
Afterward, we had a nice family
gathering at Mt. Nittany Inn and
caught up on the news. -
He told us that he will be flying to
Texas for a job interview. And, 1
had to smile when he said that he
was asked to pose for a bank ad
vertisement in a local- paper. All
that education in his head and now
they realize that he also has a
pleasing physique.
And another chuckle followed

when he said that someone asked
him if he was the original owner of
the 1950 Dodge that he drives—
actually it was his Grandfather’s
car.
The following day we saw our
little granddaughter baptised.
Then our youngest, Cindy,
returned on the train from her
weekend stay with friends at the
University of Pennsylvania in
Philadelphia. She gathered her
suitcase and we set out for Penn
State again. My husband and I
were crammed in the back seat
because she did the driving and as
she is almost six feet tall she

needed lots of room for her legs.
On the way home we took a few
back roads and I had an op
portunity to photograph a pic
turesque, round, red barn. We even
stopped to see a Mend who we’d
only known previously through
telephone conversations.
When we got home it was nice to
see the lights in the milking parlor
M Philip was doing the milking for
us. He too left three days later
for college where he will graduate
in May. But even though the
children have gone back to school,
I know there will be plenty of
things to keep us busy.
