    A3S—Lancaster Farming, Saturday, March 13,1982
Day salutes farmers
(Continued from Page Al)
three Goodyear blimps to parades
and shopping-mall displays.
Secretary of Agriculture John R.
Block is scheduled to speak in
Washington at a special Ag Day
luncheon, followed by a reception
on Capitol Hill
But most farmers and con
sumers will have to turn to the
local level to celebrate in the
proclaimed glitter and glamour of
Ag Day. They may not see the
Goodyear Blimp and they may not
get the day off, but they can take
part by visiting a nearby school
where Agri-Women, teachers and
Ag-promotion groups plan special
educational programs.
