disease transmission when in
troducing a new animal into the
herd?
Dr. Riegel comments:
The best procedure tor bringing
new animals onto a farm is cer
tainly not the most convenient, nor
the most economical, nor are the
majority ot tarms equipped to
provide the segregation and
isolation that is necessary to
prevent what could be a
disasterous situation it dis’ease
strikes.
