Sizes USDA asks for changes in margarine standard WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Department ot Agriculture recently proposed changes m its standard tor margarine and oleomargarine to make them more consistent with international and Food and Drug Administration standards. “Current USDA policy allows margarine manutacturers to prepare and label margarine according to Food and Drug Ad ministration regulations," said USDA Food Safety and inspection Service Administrator Donald L.
