JACKSON, Ms. An overflow
crowd at the 59th National Polled
Hereford Sale packed the Trade
Mart Building here at the Dixie
National Livestock Show. The
bidding was active throughout the
sale, with the average price on the
15 females and interests in 23 bulls
reaching $7,825.
A price tag of $15,000 for one-half
interest accompanied the two top
selling bull lots, FLF Masterpiece
and OJ Mpact 1191. Masterpiece
was consigned by Falklands Farm,
Schellsburg, Pa., and Busby
Farm, Alexandria, Pa. Also sired
by Enforcer 107 H, the March 1979
bull was named the reserve grand
champion at the 1981 Keystone
International Standard of Per
fection Show. Sholly Polled
Herefords, Preshel, S.D., took him
home on their top bid. DJ Mpact
1191, consigned by DJM Polled
Herefords, Hawley, Texas, and
Jimmy C. Farrington, Abilene,
Texas, is a full brother to the
National reserve junior champion
bull and was purchased by Felix
Marc of Uruguay.
Next on the roster ot top-selling
bulls was WSF Banner 9M, a son of
Gold Standard Sire WSF PRL
Justa Banner. Wooden Shoe
Farms, Othello, Wash., sold three
fourths interest in him for $15,500
to Triple C Ranch, Yamhill, Ore.
Wooden Shoe also sold WSF Miss
Banner SM, a full sister to 9M, for
$9,500. She went home with Xanadu
Stock Co., Seattle, Wash.
MW Ms Enforcer 5004 and her
bull calf by Stlbrk Gilead S7K

Corsicana, Texas. Hubbards
Polled Herefords, Canton, Texas,
bought three-fourths interest in her

Triple H Ranch ot Burlington,
fowa, led UHH Li Oakridge N 6 into
the sale ring to bring a $15,000 bid
tor three-fourths interest. Doug
and Barbara Walraven, Houston,
Texas, bought-this January 1981

Banner Impact hit a $14,000 bid on
three-fourths interest tor Tjardes
Farms, Gibson City, 111., and
Myrtlewood Farm, Lexington, Ky.
A class winner at the 1981 Illinois
and Wisconsin State Fairs, this sun
of WSF PRL Justa Banner sold to
select Sires, Inc., Plain City, Ohio.
Graystone Farm of Schellsburg,
Pa., led Graystone Engraver to a
first place finish in class #l9 and
then took to the sale ring to
bring $13,000 fur three-fourths
interest. Lußose Estates,
Hagerstown, Md., offered the tup
bid.
GH Ms Ju Banner 135 M bit a
price of $15,500 for Gulhkson
Polled Herefords, Bath, S.D.
Gladstone Farms, Nashville, Ind.,
bought this March 1980 daughter of
