Game Bird and Management of
Shooting Preserves Conference to
be held at Penn State on Feb. 22-23
is Friday, Feb, 15.
The cost of the conference is J4O.
This fee includes all costs of in
struction and instructional
materials, coffee breaks, and one
banquet ticket. Additional banquet
tickets are available at a cost of $l2
each.
This course is designed for
anyone interested in game birds or
hunting resort operations. The
various sessions will be conducted
by experienced individuals in the
fields of game bird production and
hunting resort management.

49,095,000 pounds or 23 percent
from a year ago, according to the
Pennsylvania Crop Reporting
Service.
Of that total, York Imperial
apples comprise the largest
variety in cold storage for fresh

diagnosis, and control of costly
diseases in game birds; while
Penn State’s Owen Keene will
provide an update report on new
drugs.
Gene Nelson, of the Penn
sylvania Game Commission, will
share his bureau's knowledge of
the game bird ‘business’ gleaned
through 50 years of game
propagation.
Many more speakers will be
covering diverse topics from pen
construction to microcomputers.

Snyder earns N.J. ag award
Melda Snyder, Pittstown, NJ, grain and
livestock farmer and a prominent New Jersey
agricultural leader, receives the Distinguished
Service to Agriculture award from Philip
Alampi, left. New Jersey Secretary of
Agriculture, and Art Jarman, right, president
of the State Board of Agriculture. The occasion
was the New Jersey Agricultural Convention
held in Cherry Hill during the recent Farmers'
Week.
