National Tractor Pullers
Association has posted its winter
pulling contest schedule.
NTPA notes the previously
announced Feb. 6-7 pull schedule
for the Tampa Bay Stadium
facility is now a Florida Tractor
Pullers Assn, sanctional event and
has been removed from the NTPA
schedule. It also has been
relocated to the Tangerine Bowl in

arrives in PA
HARRISBURG - State
Agriculture Secretary Penrose
Hallowell said Monday the first
shipments ot surplus processed
American cheese from the U.S.
Department of Agriculture have
begun arriving at warehouses
across the state.
Hallowell said the total Penn
sylvania allotment of 1.6 million
pounds of cheese had been or
dered, and would be delivered to
the Bureau ot Government
Donated Foods in the next few
weeks.
Food inspectors from the Bureau
of Poods & Chemistry, he said,
are taking representative samples

The Agriculture Secretary said
the Department was continuing to
work with hundreds of charitable,
non-profit organizations in setting
up a workable system for the
eventual distribution of the cheese
m each county. He said the three
regional food banks in Erie,
Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, as
well as the Pennsylvania Coalition
on Food and Nutrition were con
tinuing to provide additional in
formation on potential distribution
sites across the state, and thanked
them for their assistance.
Hallowell said that as'soon as
agreements have been signed with
all participating local distributors
for the cheese, information on
sites, availability of cheese and
times for distribution will be an
nounced.
