The 100-head of cows, bred and open heifers, and 3 bulls averaged $624.40, one of the lowest averages in several years in this sale’s series. The sale featured the complete herd dispersal of Morel Acres Farm, Millersburg, owned by Morris J. and Elvin E. Lebo plus added consignments. Top-selling individual was a granddaughter of Tannery Hill Florets Command, Croasdaiie Mark Jennie, who sold for $2,800. This fancy-uddered two year old, calved Jan. 19, was consigned by Warren Quenpel and J. Norman Leedom, Pipersville. She was purchased by Arlene Hope of Southington, Ohio. Second high-selling individual' was a three year old consigned by Elesabeth Ingalls Gillet of Taneytown, Maryland. John P. Miller, Airville, paid $1,175 for Golden Dew Corporal Blimp. An Applebrook Fames Corporal daughter, she had 12,730 pounds of milk and 549 pounds of fat in 339 days as a two year old.
