Western Pa. hosts annual
Guernsey meeting
LANCASTER For the tirst
tune in its 51 year history, the
Pennsylvania Guernsey Breeders
Association will hold its annual
meeting in western Pennsylvania.
Hosted by the Mercer-Northwest
Guernsey Breeders, the annual
event is scheduled tor Friday and
Saturday, March -26 and 27 at the
Sheraton Inn, Route 16, West
Middlesex.
Highlights of the 51st annual
meeting include; the Annual
Business Meeting; an educational
seminar on management; the
Annual Awards Banquet; an
aerobic exercise class tor the
Pa. Ayrshire club
slates youth sale
HARRISBURG At the recent
mid-winter meeting of the Penn
sylvania Ayrshire Breeders
Association, the members voted to
introduce a new Ayrshire Sale to
the dairy public.
The sale committee is expected
to have 20 head of calves tor FFA
and 4-H projects and 10 to 12 bred
heifers and cows.
The consignment sale will be
held at the Huntingdon County
farm ot J. Cletus Rhoads on
Dan and Ruth Roggie, Lowville,
NY dairy farmers state:
“Our lO 1 /? year old cow had not
come into heat for 3 months. We
started feeding 4 ounces of
Cerogras daily. She came into
strong heat and is bred. Her coat
now has a beautiful shine...”

The annual dinner meeting will
be held on March 20 at 10:30 a.m.
at the Embers Motel, Carlisle. And
the Pa. Ayrshire Field Day will be
held at Penn State at a date to be
announced later.
