Only Hamps escape double jr. sheep wins

Hampshire division in the junior escaped sweeps of both the
Gerald and Barbara Rohrer with their champion South
downs. ~

champion and reserve champion
honors by the same individual or
members of the same family on
Wednesday. .
In the Hamps, Leslie Lazarus, of
Whitehall, exhibited the champion
and Ellen K. Lewis, of Landisville,
showed the reserve champion. But
Lazarus went on to become not
only a double but a triple top
winner when he showed both the
grand and reserve champion
RambouiUet.
In Shropshires, Guy McKean, of
R 4, Mercer, had both champs.
Gerald and Barbara Rohrer, Rl,
Quarryville, swept the South
downs. William MacCauley and his
sister, Nancy, Rl, Atglen, had a
similar sweep in the Suff oiks.
Jeff Mellott, Rl, Needmore,
exhibited both champs in the
Cheviots. In the Corriedales, Seth
Remp, R 6, Sinking Spring, had the
champion and his brother, Ty, had
the reserve. Barbara and
Margaret Herr, of R 2, Narvon,
swept the Dorsets, with Barb
having the champion.
Margaret Herr also won the
showmanship contest. Winner in
the 11 years and under division was
Alicia Strausbaugh, York, and
Judy Waltersdorf, York, took the
15 years and over.
- Tim Flory, Red Lion, won first
place in the 4-H and PFA Sheep
Blocking and Grooming Contest,
and second went to Alan Bixler,
Carlisle, David Harpster,
Boalsburg, was third.
